scene, makes the scene. Beginning with the extraordinary young girl in miniskirt and high heels takes you smiling in the hell ever yearned for. Carontessa left reluctantly, we come into the room below, where everything is a rustle of young waiters, among elegant green felt gaming tables covered by a sheet of glass and candle, Thonet chairs, marble tiled floor. On the walls there is a wallpaper with a bird out of the cage (there is some symbolism? Mah), and a mirrored wall, which contrasts with the rest and it's very '80s: among other things, surprisingly, the luccicante vetro cela una toeletta per gentiluomini con tuba e una ritirata per gentildonne, con tanto di lavacro e water-closet (se non capite come funziona, funziona così: si spinge il vetro). In un angolo in fondo alla sala c'è un pianoforte. Diciamo che l'atmosfera, come la musica di sottofondo, viaggia tra gli anni '30 e gli anni '80. Un tantino freddina a locale vuoto (la sera della visita c'era solo un gruppo di giovini pariolini ingioiellati), ma non si esclude che d'inverno, quando il camino che giace in fondo alla sala scoppietterà allegro, il clima diventi più amichevole. Il ristorante La Scena, aperto nella primavera scorsa, è la dépendance dell'Hotel Locarno , Nouveau gem that makes you feel elegant and decadent dandy just exceeds the threshold. Here, as an aperitif, which is held in the beautiful garden of Locarno, the juxtaposition of the '30s with the '80s is not conducive to the end.
KITCHEN As for the food, the cuisine is refined and not at all disappointed. The chef is Jose Ferrer, who has worked for several years with Bruno Barbieri all'Arquade, restaurant Villa Del Quar (Verona, two Michelin stars). Counseling, and the dessert list are Stephen Preli, appreciated the chef Pastificio on Tiburtina in San Lorenzo. There is an excellent and satisfactory tasting menu (which can be customized on request) at 45 €. Among the more notable dishes, egg crust of bread with polenta, duck ravioli with Parmesan cheese and green apple sauce, roast stuffed squid with grilled radicchio and chopped capers. Among the desserts, an unusual passion fruit creme brulee with banana sauce, a fried zeppole cappuccino with cocoa.
